John advises and provides technical advice and support to governments and school systems in relation to their education reform agendas. This includes preparing inception reports, policy and system reviews, needs analyses, strategic planning and recommendations for future improvement. 

He builds and leads global teams in managing large projects to meet key deliverables, track progress and achievement of outcomes, and conduct robust monitoring, data analysis and reporting. 

Much of his work entails a high level of consultation and collaboration with culturally diverse teams, clients, and stakeholders, remotely and in-country, to co-develop relevant and appropriate processes and products and to build local capacity.
